Kumasi Asante Kotoko suffered a 2-1 away defeat to Real Tamale United on Sunday at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

This is the third defeat of the Porcupine Warriors in the Ghana Premier League season.
The home side Real Tamale United goals were scored by Ronald Frimpong and Victor Aidoo before Cameroonian striker Franck Mbella Etouga pulled one back for the Porcupine Warriors.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko is still on top of the league table with an eight-point gap despite the loss.

The third position, Aduana Stars, were held to a 0-0 draw by 11th-placed Ashanti Gold in Dormaa.

Gold Stars beat Great Olympics 2-1. Maxwell Abbey Quaye gave the visitors the lead but Yahya Adraman and Prince Opoku Agyeman scored the two goals to win the game for Gold Stars in Bibiani. Geat Olympics hold the fourth position while Gold Stars lie in the 12th spot.

FT: Legon Cities 3-1 Medeama
Medeama bowed to a 3-1 away defeat to Legon Cities, making little of Vincent Atinga’s strike as Abdul Rahman and Hans Kwoffie (two) sealed all three points for Cities who are ninth on the log. Medeama sits in fifth place.

Elmina Sharks player Michael Asamoah scored to cancel out Samuel Inkoom’s opener for the Phobians. Hearts Of Oak lies in the sixth position after the 1-1 draw.

At the Kumasi Sports Stadium, Fredrick Asante’s first-half goal ensured a 1-0 away victory for Accra Lions over King Faisal.

At the Cosby Awuah Memorial Park at Anyinase, the score was not any different as Umar Bashiru netted to ensure a 1-0 triumph for Karela United over Dreams. The two sides are seventh and 13th, respectively, on the log.

FT: WAFA 3-2 Berekum Chelsea
In Sogakope, WAFA pipped Berekum Chelsea 3-2 thanks to goals from Michael Zuo, Sampson Agyapong and Emmanuel Agyemang. Henry Ainsu registered a double in consolation for Berekum Chelsea. who hold the eighth spot. WAFA is also second from the bottom.
